Well I’m new to the forums and the area, been going to coastal for 3 years now just got into the king fishing and everything last summer, been around fishing my whole life got tons of bottom fishing knowledge and wrecks as family owns a head boat in NJ and worked on them my whole life, just not the sport fishing, been going out of MI for past year with some guys I met, looking to go out more often more then willing to pay my share not a problem to learn. Anyone needing another for a offshore or even inshore shoot me a PM. Thanks John
GoneFluken… from time to time I may need someone for some nearshore. I’m over in Johns Island and usually go out of the Folly area. I only have a small 17ft scout sf but definitely love targeting everything from kings to fluke. Still learning the area and the tactics around here as well. On another subject, where in NJ are you from? The family used to have a baitshop in Manasquan for years. I’m familiar with some of the head boats up there.
Elliot
well then you more then likely have seen our boats since were outta manasquan and kens landing is ours, the Norma K fleet.
Yep, definitely went on some trips on the Norma K. Left out of Pt Pleasant, right? We used to have the fisherman’s cove baitshop on the otherside of the inlet. Well I’d like to get into some kings as well as fish the jetties as soon as my boat gets out of the shop. I’ll send you a PM ahead of time if weather conditions are good and if the wife gives me the green light to go without going to an ump-teenth spring wedding for someone. I’ll try to give you as much warning as possible. Meanwhile, I can’t ever do trips too far out due to having a small boat. Keep your eyes open on some of the more frequent guys on here who need spots filled for stream trips. I’m doing the same.
Ya I’m usually free most of the week, ya the king wouln’t be around quite yet but you could go out to 3 mile and fill her up with some spanish. We caught bout 15 to 20 in about 2 hours last thursday, before we headed in to see if we could scrounge up some flatties.
