im headin to little river next weekend for vacation and bringing the boat. i am looking to do some inshore fishing. im not very familiar with inshore fishing i have more exp on offshore trips. any suggestionson some rod and reels to get? alsoany suggestions on rigs and techniques? im not looking to break the bank. thanks.
I prefer a 6’ 6" light/medium action spinning setup(I prefer graphite) with a 3000 series reel. 50lb power pro, 20lb flouro leader. 1/8 or 1/4 jig heads or 1/8 weighted hook for plastics depending on current and depth. 3/8 worm sinker on my carolina rigs with a 6-8" leader. 2/0 or 3/0 live bait hooks or 4/0 circle hooks for dead or cut bait.

“Good things come to those who bait”
All my rods are 7 ft either open face or bait casters for bigger fish. Depending on the areas and what you are fishing for will determine line type and lb. Bait casters 30 lb or better braid to heavy momo leader. My open face’s I have 20 braid to mono leader and 12 lb on the others. The 20 lb braid was just a test this year with happy results.
