If you could only fish with one bait- in all seasons, weather, tides, structure, etc.- for saltwater inshore what would it be? Just thought this would be an interesting discussion topic.

hard to say - spring + fall shrimp are the definitely the best… sometimes in the middle of summer I really like minnows better to get relief from all the pinfish
if i HADDDD to pick one, which is the point i guess, i would say shrimp

Finger or cut mullet seems like a universal bait.
Havent found many menhaden. But when I do I loose it quickly. So menhaden would be my vote. They get quick action, so hold on

Blue crab. Heck I even want to eat it off the hook sometimes.
Mud minnows. They’ll live in a bucket in my garage refrigerator for a week, so they get my vote over shrimp.
