Looking to put together a new inshore setup since its gotten awful expensive to fill up the big boat. I’m thinking a Stradic for sure but is the older F series better or worse than the newer carbon series. Gloomis, St Croix, Carrot Stick what works best for you guys?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Yeah, not going to spend a grand on an inshore setup.

I love the Penn Battles paired up with a Stellar Lite from Star Rods. The rods are great quality with an awesome warranty, plus they’re very sensitive and strong. Those Battles are tanks as well. You would not go wrong with those two. The Shimano Teramar rods are pretty sweet as well though…
you should check out my buddy’s rods. very unique and they are really really good rods. if you fish all day, the one of a kind grip will make a difference. check out the web site. The tab “about big bear rods” gives a good overview of what they are all about. I got one of the first ones over five years ago and i have been really impressed.
that is my buddy in the photo on the site. http://www.bigbearfishingrods.com/ProductCart/pc/home.asp

Any $70 complete package will work for now.Go talk with Scott or Dee at Haddrells and tell them you want a good throw away rig.Go to Bass pro near u and get a Diawa salt reel.I paid $29 for 2 at haddrells and they are fine after 2 years of abuse.Think it is a 2500 Diawa. Will look later.
I have a Penn Sargus on a Shimano Voltaeus rod. A reasonably priced combo that has worked well for me. I am planning on buying a Penn Battle to try it out (like I need another reel) and I have a Shimano Symetre on an All-star rod I also like quite a bit, it just cost more.
We currently have a great inshore combo (Stradic 2500FI paired on a Shimano Compre rod CPS70MB) for $239.99 This is a great inshore combo for a reasonable price. We also have these new G Loomis Walleye rods that have recoil guides on them. These rods are extremely sensitive and cast great. Would be happy to help you get a great setup. I will have many more options for you…just depends on how many dineros you want to spend!!
