Mid-April so seems like it should be time but haven’t seen any reports? Saltfisher, get one in March again this year? Anyone yet?
havent tried in the last couple of days,might try this weekend again, water temps are climbing so they should be here anytime. So far, all we have got while trying are rays and whiting… No shark runs yet.
WE fished for them for about an hour on Sat…had one run on a shrimp and one run on crab but no hook ups…Couldve been a big ray but it couldve been a bonnethead too.

Caught a 3 1/2 foot bonnethead on Saturday in Skull Creek (Hilton Head). Surprised me, wasn’t fishing for shark. Took a mud minnow and ran! Great fun hauling him in though.
Seen a bunch of bonnets on the flats already.
They are here now…
