Inshore shars

Anyone had any success catching them inshore OTF? Fly pattern? sight fishing or blind casting? I’ve watched some videos from Florida where the water was alot clearer with success, but wanted to see about inshore off the great state’s coast. Wouldnt mind hooking up with a 4-5ft black tip.

Fish their eye…they have soo many nerve endings in the end of their nose, they can feel a bait fishes heartbeat so they know the fly isn’t real…however, throw a little past the, and bring it up their side right by the eye and they will react and eat before their other senses take over and tell them it isn’t real. Fly choice is of less importance IMHO- Bruner got one the other day on a Everglades sp and I used a red, black and pink streamer several weeks back

What do I need to look for? Its hard to spot them feeding in shallows unless you can see their dorsal. Never have seen one in the grass.

Bulldog if you want to hunt for them one day we can, I can meet with Bruner and figure out that Everglades pattern, and have a handfull of them to try for some bonnethead …

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.
