Inshore Slam (x2)

Got out yesterday for the first time since the newborn arrived on July 1. Fished the falling into a couple hours of incoming on some familiar banks. Started by hitting topwater as the sun came up, not a single blow up. Fished artificials with a buddy, we were throwing EyeStrike jig heads paired with Zman plastics. Got into a good number of reds but they were below slot. Good to see a healthy, young population. Found a few trout and a couple flounder. Wife was throwing a popping cork with muds. Ended the day with about 15 reds, 8 trout and 2 flounder. Biggest trout was 21" and biggest red was 26.5". Tight lines!

Congrats on the newborn! Sounds like a good time to decompress, catching the slams to boot… Now all you’ll need to is find some time to sleep!

I appreciate it bud! Luckily, the little guy has been amazing and sleeps through the night. Can’t wait to get him on the boat in the future.
