Put in at Remleys yesterday morning and within 15 minutes of fishing we had 2 reds and a 21" flounder in the boat. Wind got a little gnarly but we made it work. Water was pretty clear where we were. Took us the morning to finally get a decent trout but we found a good bit of them in about 4 foot of water over oyster beds in a creek mouth. All we threw was OG trout tricks and some bass assassin paddle tails. Light blueish/greenish seemed to do the trick. Even managed to hook up to a few bluefish at the mouth of a creek, did not keep them tho.
Cooked them up last night on the grill with some blackened seasoning, butter and some fresh meyer Lemons. Delicious. Saving the flounder for another day. Do not know how I would like to cook that.
Overall a great morning on the water, glad I got the chance to go before all the rain hits.
Nice day of fishing. That wind picked up pretty good in Awendaw fairly early
That flounder would make four fried fish sandwiches!
Slam bam thank you mam! Glad you got on em a little bit! This time of the year is so much fun:+1:

…well, some fishing too!
there’s only one way for flounder: skinless fillets breaded in House Autry, then egg wash, then panko, then 375 degree oil till golden brown
Thanks Barba, now I want fish for breakfast! Sounds like pretty good day on the water.
