I’ve often wondered what qualifies as inshore vs. offshore. From what I have read, this qualifies as inshore…caught within three miles of beach, caught in relatively shallow water, caught from my bay boat, and caught on light tackle. It was fun, too. We caught a limit of these every day.

That is what we’ve always called “nearshore.”
Nice fish, they are certainly fun on light line.

We were in about 60-80 feet and were using squid and trout bellies for bait. Snapper are not picky eaters.
