Is there more risk to be insured by a "non-admitted’’ carrier in south carolina. I am currently trying to get a fire policy on a rental property. The best quote I have received is from this type of carrier. Any advice from anybody in this field.
yes, but whether it’s a big or little risk is in the eye of the insured
go to www.doi.sc.gov
you can research the carrier
what’s your agent say?
Ill check out the site. Thanks
Not a good idea in a state that gets hit by hurricanes. They go broke before you get paid and your out of luck.
A little more premium may be worth it if something big hits. Did you try Farm Bureau or Travelers?
