Just sent some info to Strickland for a quote on the Bentz.
Other option I took was from “Foremost” or something like that, through Anderson Insurance. Price was good but they wanted a survey on a 15’ skiff…

When it was $199 last year for the same coverage, yeah. Trust me, it’s the price I am concerned about, it’s the increase. Even calling around, using Progressive and being able to state my value for the Classic Whaler, vs taking their $1500 calculated replacement value, seems to be the best route to take. Looks like I just need to pay the increase.
One silver lining is they have included “sign and glide” instead of just “emergency towing up to $300”. Supposed to be no deductible, and their dispatch will contact the nearest Sea Tow, or Boat US for help and they cover 100% of the bill. It’s only $30 a year. Sea Tow must be making enough profit from all of you that they can cut Progressive a great deal.

I went w/ Boats US. After i signed up they gave me the upgrade offer for unlimited tow assistance and trailer recovery for $99.00 that seems a great deal.
$268 for 2007 17’ Triumph CC, Yami 70 2strk, trailer for Actual Cash Value of $16,200. Have towing up to $2,500 included(yes, reimbursement policy), trailer breakdown, and Populusion Plus (replacement of lower unit if hit submerged object) all with $500 deductible. Even the dog is protected if hurt/killed in accident on boat (reimbursement policy up to $2,500). With Progressive.

After 10 years with Progressive they almost doubled there price! I call and asked why, they said my credit had fallen since I retired and paid cash for my new 250 Etec a new truck and a new Caddy Everything I own is paid for and didn’t owe any money! Now that a bunch of BS!

Try that Foremost place leadenwah, that’s who I have mine through at the moment and another friend of mine does too. He made a claim last year and said it couldn’t have gone any smoother. It’s worth the call at least.
