Interest in trip to Central America this winter

This is just a preliminary question as to who might be “seriously” interested in going to Panama or Costa Rica this winter to fish. I’m sure everyone wants to go but let’s stick to those with a job and the vacation time to do it.

I already have 1 boat full(4) but always hear people say they would jump on a trip if they could. I would be looking at late March to Mid- May timeframe which is typically cow tuna season.

A 5 day all inclusive (fishing, food, transfers in country) will run around $3000 and airfare will likely be about $500-700. No real need for spending money. So call it $4000 total for 5 days of hardcore fishing. Rooster fish, mahi, pargo, marlin, tuna, etc…

Ok, let’s open the discussion to the unemployed, drifters, vagabonds and people that will never leave their Country much less their county…looks like a long winter here in SC.

Love to go, but I have gotten off into going to school full time. Which has taught me two things, first, I am stupid as a brick, two, I can not afford a brick.

Now you’re talking to the right crowd! I may could be interested in a trip next fall but I’m booked till then. Good luck with this and Sri Lanka!

I’ve been to Panama exploring the fishing options. I spent 3 weeks just driving around the country. I’ve read about the fish camp/lodge that bases out of Pedasi and travels to the camp by truck and boat on the peninsula. They fish out of kayaks right off the shore and catch big fish. Tuna, Rooster, Grouper etc. While exploring there I was unable to get to a huge area of the peninsula where there are on roads. I’d be very interested in that

This looks awesome. I’d be super interested in doing this in Oct-Dec of 2015. I just met a guy from Guyana who is setting up something similar to this down there. There are no other kayak fishing outfits around him so it’s a pretty new thing.

I can only dream about such a trip. Be sure and post pics.
