I am just looking to see the interest in hand poured “stick” baits, or senkos. I can produce a 5.25 in. worm that really is very hard to tell from the store bought ones. Even if you shop around, the cheapest you can find senkos is about $7/10. I can offer 20 @ that same price. The only thing that really kills me is the color options i have.
Heres the list:
Bluegill (Custom)- Smoke w/ black, gold, blue flake (KILLER)
Standard Green Pumpkin
Straight black (with blue, red, or no flake)
Light watermellon w/ red flake
Translucent purple w/ red flake
Also I am working on a way to make laminates (like red shad).
Like the store bought, salt impregnated, and are certainly able to be casted without a weight. Also, I try and add garlic scent when the color allows. My baits are also extremely soft, which is great because it seems to keep it in the bass’ mouth better, but they will get torn up fairly easy. But you can tie a basic overhand knot with one of the worms and they wont rip, so they are still fairly durable.
If there is any interest, I will start getting pictures of the colors and the worms side by side a store bought model.
Yeah, I also pour 7 in curl tails, brush hogs, and lizards. I got into pouring as that is what i like sticking to, is plastics when fishing for bass. I will probably get some pics up here fairly soon,so yall can see, you really cant tell the difference.
Yes, what i have found is as you get into the cheaper style baits, the thing you start loosing is the softness of the plastic. Which of course your trading off a little on durability, but gaining more forgiveness on the hooksets. Action is also lost with the harder baits
Ill get some pics together tonight, not of all colors, but just some random ones so yall can get an idea.
matheny-how is the reloading going by the way?
Slow!!! Like yourself, I have way to many hobbies. I did end up getting about a 1000+/- spent AA hulls and a box of win. wads from a guy on craigslist. I primed about a hundred shells, but don’t have any powder or lead yet. Hopefully I will get to it before Labor Day! I still plan on giving you a shout once I get everything!
Here is the pictures, i have that orangish color, which shows the detail the best out of all of the colors, but it is still horrible pictures. I also forgot to mention I can make any color with chartreuse tip.
the one on the left is a store bought, also you can see the curl tail worms i can make.
Matheny-Now is the time to buy lead if you can, its at a low pretty much, .65/ lb. I bought 2 bags a couple of weeks ago, I have about 6 bags stockpiled while it was cheap!
If your reloading for skeet or 16 yd trap get 8 shot. If your gunna be killing doves or handicap trap loads,7.5 shot works. If you want an all around shot just go with 7.5. let me know if you have any more questions.
depends on the season, but yes like a jerk bait. dead stick it, i.e. still on bottom dipped in scent in the winter time. more movement in the warm seasons. kinda like a plastic worm, there’s 100 ways to fish it.
Can you pour baby brush hogs in the color of scuppornog! if so pm me with a price for 100 and 1000 and a 4 inch beaver bug in the same numbers and color THANKS TONY!

jesus ha what is with this color, I got an order of senkos for it, and I have never seen it before in my life. My hog mold is a 3 part mold, meaning it has one flat side (on the bottom of course, i will post a picture of the bug to see if you like it.
here is the bug mold, I just got this thing about 2 weeks ago, so the pours arent super clean, but good enough in my book. And on super large orders of these, I dont know if I will be able to do that, do to the fact of these being a pain to pour, with only a 2 cavity mold.
As you can see, there is definately variance in the pouring of these things, due to my unsteady hand.
sadly enough I dont have a beaver mold…now if you want to purchase one for me, ill be glad to pour for you haha.
Ok thats gives me a good idea, the other guy that is interested is sending me a worm i think so i can really see it and try to duplicate the color, i dont/cant find a formula for it, so its just going to be a day where i just sit down and try to make it. I will let you know how it goes. So essentially its like an amber color?
It is a little lighter than a beer bottle or real close to it zoom is is one of the only major co that carry it and only in a few styles u-tail, mag worm, lizard and they have a co that will pour for them in baby b hog and finness worm where do you get your molds I have used a few from JANN’S NETCRAFT they have a good selection of colors, plastics and a few molds would also like the buzz frog in that color!!
