Does anyone know anything about this boat?
It is a cat, haven’t seen it before, looks interesting.
USNS Guam, high speed craft. I’ve followed it on vessel tracker, it has been moored at old Navy base/Detyens shipyard for a while, guess it was in dry dock.
Cool looking ship. Looks like some sort of a jet drive.

That vessel came back in the harbor around 445pm
After being released, a lot of fish die, but a lot of them live also.
It’s been at the old navy yard for a while. High speed ferry for refurbishing is my guess.
Saw a program on the Smithsonion chanel a while back that showed the building that monster, very intresting engenering!
It is in fact the USNS Guam. It’s been at Detyens shipyards since late last year. It’s gone through a refit to convert it to a Spec-ops High-Speed transport. The interior was gutted and reconfigured. The government also purchased the Hawaii superferry “Alkia” and converted that one the same way. The original paint was removed to save weight leaving it raw aluminium which will oxidize and turn it a dull gray. Length 373, Beam 78, displacement 1.646 tons.
