Thought this may help somone out, is working great for my needs!
Supplies (2) wally world expandable car clothes rods (1) 12’ X 3/4" cut to length roll of velcro strap (the kind with hook on one side and loop on the other). I made the fastening loops on the rear bar by simply using two pieces of the velcro strap, one to hold the loop to the clothes rod and one to hold the rod handle. You just undo the hanging loop, place the tip over the front clothes rod, lift rod handle up, and Velcro the loop around the handle. On the front clothes rod, I used loops to hold a flat length of the velcro to the top middle area. Rod tips angle in to the center area and lay on the flat velcro, I then use a long flat piece to lay over the rod tips and push down in between each one and they stay put in their own little space!!! Simple, mobile, removable, and I plan to add two more loops on each end of the rear to easily carry 7 rods total. The rods in the pics are 6’6" and 7’
Well done… Perfect for an SUV type vehicle.

Awesome! You need to go on shark tank.
Looks good. I used to have some nylon webbing straps hung across like than in an Expedition. Great for inshore rods. Mine would swing around all the time with the straps but that looks a lot more stable.
Now that’s a space saver.
Well done!!

Great idea, thanks for shareing! Now if only the old lady like it!
I’ve been using that system for years. I use the clothes rack in the back and I use stretch straps on the ceiling behind the front seats. Suggestion for you…get some rod sleeves to put on your rods. It’ll make is so much easier when your taking them out, especially if you’ve driven a long way and the rods have been bouncing around with each other.
