Introductions

Greetings:
One of your members from Georgetown turned me onto this forum. I do not know his screen name here at all. I live in the Smoky Mountains of NC and try to fish out of SC as much as I can, which often is not enough. I hope I can contribute, but will have a question or two from time to time. I have been poking around the forum and looking at the features, very nice and my hat’s off to those who created it. Maybe I wll run into some of ya’ll when we get down there this spring and summer. Tight lines and calm seas…

Good to have you here, know what you mean about not getting here enough. I’m from upstate SC about 200 miles from Charleston and don’t get down near enough. Good luck!

Welcome aboard. I live in Columbia so I am not like those fortunate coastal dwellers either, I never get to fish enough. I will tell you this about this site. You will meet some fine folks here, make a few friends and learn an awful lot. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and try to be thick-skinned cause some folks here like to have fun at the expense of others (nothing wrong with that). Anyway, welcome, have fun!

Welcome and ditto what the others say. Hell, I live at the coast and still hardly ever get to fish. I’ma gonna have ta change that.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Welcome …I am one of the fortunate ones that live as a coastie…please ask questions…the only vail that will be lowered will be specific holes, areas, spots…however if you maintain your humbleness and prove to be a true southern gentleman many on this site will accomodate…

Thanks everyone. Elad, I am no Yankee …one does not ask for the sweet spots without having some form of a relation or is it one does not have relations without knowing the sweet spot? I enjoy trolling more than bottom bumping in large part I prefer the savory flesh of the Coryphaena hippurus (dolphin) and the Acanthocybium solandri (wahoo)over most other fishes and I tend to get sea sick anchored up [:I]…dont know why but I am fine trolling…

Didn’t mean to insinuate your upbringing in terms of the Mason/Dixon…I have absolutley nothing against the Northern Brothers as long as they treat me with respect …I will return it. Yea, that sea sick thing is tough…I have never gotten sick but came real close a couple of times…I start loading up on Dramamins about a week before…The former point on your question, because many like me consider your interest and cordialness a relation ,or at least the beginning of one. Good Luck Mountain Man, I envy you in our dog days of summer

Welcome.

Welcome, I in the Upstate of SC south of Rosman. Right now I’m working on the stripers in Hartwell so if you’re interested in getting in on some large fish action closer to home let me know.

I’d rather fish than eat.

Hi Bob, I’m from Asheville and like you, don’t get down to the coast as often as I would like. We are going down this weekend, though, for our first spring trip this season. We fish out of Bohickett Marina. Where do you live in WNC?

Welcome. I’ve seen you on the Great Grady site which is also excellent.

Great Grady is well great if you got a Grady question that is for sure. Between us though, there seems to be alot of northeastern folks there and when it comes to fishing those slow 2 knot trolls are just not my kind of fish (lol)… I like the Gulfy and wanted one, but the dealer kind of talked me out of it because of the long distance towing we do and her wide beam could give me towing issues with the DOT. Nice boat you have In Pursuit…
