They feel they have a “right” to listen to their music at ear-splitting levels. What about me, don’t I have a right to NOT have to listen to it? It is called common courtesy and we are in short supply anymore.
Hey Vin, been fishing lately? Remember, all work and no play…well, you know the rest.
What about the guy on the harley with the loud exhaust, or the guy in the pickup with duals and cherry bombs, or the guys constantly shooting in the woods across the river, or every boat that drives by my dock with open exhausts or a loud two stroke…
Somehow, someway - each and every one of us does something to bother the other person. Some are just worse than others.
So out of all the posters, your defending obnoxious inconsideration? I’m curious where yo
You really are reaching here. The guy with the loud car/bike rides by and keeps going, he doesn’t park in your front yard and rev it. Most acts you described are for a few seconds or minutes at most. You are trying real hard to make a point (not sure what it is) but your comparisons are off.
You might can find a station that doesn’t cater to idiot’s.
Seriously? In Charleston?
DF - A lot of fishing, not much catching.
General noise, even car stereos on the road, to me no big deal. We’ve probably all done that, but with an eye towards courtesy if we were affecting someone. You can generally roll windows up to keep noise in or out and it doesn’t last long.
Leaving stereo full blast and leaving vehicle sit. They need to be shot. I’ve yet to see/hear that and it not be an F-bomb filth song.
Standing next to some ding dong with his music going is something else all together. I hope I have a good fart brewing next time I’m in line and that happens. At least it will be a natural sound.

Blaring loud music with a ridiculous bass that shakes your windows and screams profanity is a little bit different in my book that a Harley tailpipe
if I’m in my auto with the windows up and playing music, and I can hear the music in the other car louder than mine then that’s to loud
at the gas station I just go over, reach in and turn it down, haven’t had anyone challenge me on that yet
have been tempted to turn it all the way up and blow the speakers but…

Don’t you just love it when the democRats pull up next to you full blast with the windows down, and let you enjoy their ignorant, low class, vulgar, rap crap?
Please explain what you mean by “democRats”, sir…

Ahhh, crickets, just as I expected. Don’t say it, or even worse, type it, if you can’t own it…

I know what he meant.
Uh-oh…
Black Bart you did only give him 7 hours to respond…

Black, I am not trying to insult you, but you know exactly what I meant, and are trying to make me the bad guy, shame on you! You know exactly what it means!!! Most of your race are dems so they get free stuff on my dollar, and I call them Rats, which I took from a guy on Glocktalk years ago. Get a life, your race commits a majority of violent crimes in the US and are democRats. Just saying, can you honestly deny that fact?
Since Stono Joe is your friend, you are OK with me!
I don’t wish to be thrown off this site, so lets drop this discussion, OK?

Thanks for getting back to me. I knew exactly what you were saying, and to be honest, it didn’t offend me. I dislike people blaring that cRap more than y’all do, because it places me in the same group as them, even though I’m probably more conservative than most of y’all.
When you say stuff like that, however, you give the people you’re describing fuel for their fire, and the actual issues (crime, fatherless children, etc.) get pushed to the side. The focus is shifted to race (which isn’t really the issue) instead of them acting like idiots, and they, once again, get a pass by playing the race card. In essence, you allow them to perpetuate their behavior.
No hard feelings, man. I’d hope Andy would allow an open dialogue like this, as a frank, open discussion is what’s truly needed to eliminate race-related issues. As you said, a friend of Joe is a friend of mine. Well, except for those Climpsin fans…
Vin, sorry to jump your thread. Carry on…

You guys have no idea what it’s like. You wouldn’t make it a year in Miami!!! It’s all about “ME” down here. It’s actually so bad it’s almost comical and reminds me of that movie “Idiocracy”. Even walking is tough for most people down here. They don’t ever look where they are going and always expect the other person to move out of their way. I see people actually walk right smack into each other almost every day. I’ve had a couple of collisions myself (though I knew it was going to happen and made it a point not to move out of the way). I typically win when physics comes into play.
No courtesy in ANYTHING… A few months ago, I saw a guy trying to get into traffic, so I waved him in. Didn’t acknowledge me at all. About two minutes later, I needed to switch lanes, but when I tried, the same guy who I let into traffic to begin with actually sped up to cut me off!!! Unbelievable. That’s actually the COMMON mentality down here.
But the worst thing here is that green light means, “wait until you finish your text message” and red light means, “You and the next 5 cars behind you can make it through!!!” If I had to guess, I would say that this happens about 60-70% of the time. It’s pretty common that the first car doesn’t make it through the light until it turns yellow again.

You got that right! We lived there for almost a year, could not stand it. Came back home to the Low Country where most people are taught how to behave in public by their parents.

BB is OK with me too, and I don’t even know Joe. He is OK because his posts consistently show intelligence, character and class. More than I can say for a lot of people of my own race.
