IOP 3-21-15

This is my first time fishing this time of year. I normally fish late summer and fall but I am able to spend time year around now. I launch today at 2pm from the IOP Marina. It was over cast and windy but my main goal was to ride some creeks and look for those deep holes and anomalies for future fishing. Tried fishing in a few spots with cut mullet and artificial bates. Never saw a fish and no bites. It was a very low tide. I found out I can pole my 15ft War Eagle in 18inchs of water with no problem. I was on the water with a friend so I would say it was a success!

PS. I hate when this happens (not me)

He was probably on the Reds. That happened to me falling tide and the reds passed me by. Went to move and give chase to the Reds…couldn’t. They caught me!

Hate when the fish catches me haha

Keep your lines tight and remember. Respect the fish and your fellow fisherman. Know the Code.

There have been some low tides lately. Always a bummer when the pole stops working.
