Interesting. I’m not sure I see the point. You’re still carrying around the lenses, so you’re not eliminating that much bulk or weight. You also still have to contend with the shortcomings of a cell phone camera - relatively slow “shutter” response times, unavoidable noise in lower light situations, etc.
If you’re buying a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS like the one in the picture, I don’t think you’ll mind picking up relatively inexpensive body to go with it.

To be fair, I’m not sure if that’s the f/2.8 IS II or not. It could be one of the other 70-200mm L series lenses Canon makes, but it’s still at least about $1000 worth of glass strapped to an iPhone.
I hear ya Capntang. I agree with you on the shortcomings.
Even so, the picture quality on Instagram should get a boost.
