Every morning im out so far I’ve heard dogs extremely close to my property, so close that they’re on my property. About a week ago I was walking around in the morning and all of a sudden the bushes started rustling, next thing I know there is a buck flying past me with dogs on it’s trail. Im in cottageville and am wondering if anyone else is having this problem… And what would you do about it if you have no idea who the owner of the dogs are? Land has been sitting there for 50+ years and figured something like this would happen…
I would trap them/catch them.
No hunter is allowed on your prop without permission, even to get dogs.
If they come on your prop to get dogs I would take pics of them with cell phone and call the police.

i live/hunt in cottageville. used to have dogs come on my land all the time, haven’t heard barely any this year. i don’t really mind, cause they normally run deer to me from a dog club. are these hunting dogs or just stray dogs? hunting dogs will likely have collars with owner name and phone number. if they’re strays, animal control might help. they’ve put traps on our land for feral cats that were attacking our house cat.
