Is it worth it?

Is it really going to be worth it to wade through my gas receipts from 2018 to claim on my state tax return this year?

It’s not talking crap if you can back it up…and nothing can back it up better than facts.

You can also claim “things” that improve mileage, tires, tune-ups, etc. I’ll pass all my stuff along to my tax guy and leave it up to him.

I know you can claim that but I thought your return will be based on the lesser of the two (gas versus “things”). Is that not correct?

Honestly not sure. I quit doing my own taxes a few years ago when my wife’s home business got to complicated and I didn’t feel like fooling with it anymore.

I put all my gas purchases on only one credit card…The Warden digs out the info and files 'em.
