I went all out and took Taylor Sunday morning to walk the flats. I only saw one tailer and he vanished right as I was getting the line in the air so she didn’t get to see a take. We walked, or I carried her, on 2 different flats and even though she was shivering a bit, she stayed with me and had a blast exploring the flats. She got periwinkles in her crocks, found a crab claw and inspected a bunch of grass with the clinging winkles. She liked the hard bottom better than the soft and by mid morning, she knew where to walk and where not to walk.
Going FAST!
Walking with a fistful of stuff she found.
A real poser. I know I shouldn’t want time to pass any faster than it already is, but I can’t wait until she can really get what the flats are all about.
Christmas is coming!
It will match her jacket.
I cannot wait until my little girl wants to do the same thing!
awesome
Far better it is to dare mighty things to win glorious triumphs even though checkered with failure, than to take ranks with those poor spirits who never enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.
That is awesome.
I have taken my 3 year old fishing here in our lagoons. She has more fun playing with the worms than catching fish. She caught a catfish on her barbie reel, and when it started to pull really hard, she set the pole down and went back to playing with the worms.
She is not real big on the boat just yet.
I bet she was cold out there walking around. Some of the water the other morning was chilly.
