I though my phone was broke when the email came across saying Fogman had posted…lol…that’s the thing about this board; usually once maybe twice a year it goes dead for about a month or so.
I still have a bad taste in my mouth from last sunday, but hoping that will change this sunday. So far I have written a full page and keep looking for stuff to write about that date. I haven’t had a day like that in 3-4yrs…then Richy posts his sunday report and that was just salt in the wound.
Tom should be along with a report in the next day or two. Seen a pic of a new i-pilot sitting on his boat…lol…i know its killing him just looking at it.

Thanks for the report. I plan to get out Saturday or Sunday as usual.

Fishhard’s report broke our hearts as we went out Tuesday (beautiful day) getting on the water a little after nine. Pulled planer boards around the points at the Coast Guard station and 40 Love but no action and saw no fish. Tried downrods in deeper water at a couple places, and saw fish often enough but still no action. It was still a pretty day, we’re trying new stuff, and Spring is coming.
Went out to the towers last night about 8:30 and the spot lock wouldn’t hold me. It was a little breezy, but nothing over 50mph
I probably won’t get out till Saturday late afternoon. I have a T-Ball thing in the morning.

see; i told you. he cannot go fishing because he has t-ball. i thought that he was a little too old for t-ball but i guess that i was wrong. ha ha ha. i will invite tom to go crappie fishing again this year but he has to go when i go not when he gets permission from the warden. this is just too easy. by te way tom; hope that the new battery does you right. if not then let me know.
It’s not about getting permission, it’s about putting family first. You should try it sometime:face_with_head_bandage:
And as far as T-Ball goes, I can’t hit the ball very good when it’s not on a T

One more thing, if I do decide to grace you with my presence. I expect new duct tape over the scuppers so we don’t sink. No Walmart brand either, genuine duct tape!

How will the water be? Question being, Lake Wylie has turned into a mudhole due to the rain and runoff from earlier this week.
Should be great. Murray doesnt really get “nasty” muddy. Well the big saluda can get that way with all the water coming from Greenwood. The lil sal can get a lil muddy but takes alot of local rain to do so. When both are muddy they are still fishable, but if you dont like the muddy water, a mud line usually forms down lake some, not real far. Some never fish the mud and always look for the mudline. You’ll know it when u see it.
Our plan is to fish a couple places we have never fished before. One way? above the forks and one below. Dont know if we will be able to cover both, but we have got to start venturing other places… lol…

tom; i always have put my family first. that is why i can go and do when and what i want to. especially when carol says that i can. also; my white duct tape is not walmart brand.it is good duct tape brand. and another thing. if you would take my advice on crappie fishing and not use your striper rods you may be able to catch some without my help. you need a 5pounder just to see the rod tip bend. now settle down and play with your little balls. ha ha ha ha
all right now. ahahahahjaah

Fogman, I plan on being out there sometime after 9:30 Saturday morning. Do you want me to call you if I start catching too many keeper stripers in with the perch? I’ve been doing pretty good between 17’ and 28’. I’ve been riding a couple of miles to do it.
I will be putting in at Barstow: so I don’t think I’ll be coming down lake. Fishing the river, I save quite a bit of marine fuel dollars trailering up there. Since I have to burn non-ethanol 93 in the old 175, it’s much cheaper to put gas in the truck than the boat. You’re always welcome to call though!
