Heading down in two weeks. Can anyone provide some insight on where the pilchards are this time of year?

I was just down there about a week ago. We filled our bait well throwing a cast net within the marina where we kept our boat. We saw them all along the mangroves and shallow areas along the shoreline.

Thanks for the help - atlantic or gulf side? Or do you think it matters?

I was on the Atlantic side but saw baitfish on the gulf side as well.
