Islamorada Fishing Charters

Hey guys,

Going to Key Largo in April and want to take a day and run down to Islamorada and do an inshore/backcountry charter. Can any of you recommend an outfitter?

Thanks in advance!

Check out Bud & Marys. They been around a long time and they have a great reputation. Their son runs a Freeman 37.

Best fish I ever ate was there. Wife and I fished with a guide and he put us on red snapper that he cleaned and gave to the chef at the place we were staying. The chef cooked it for us four different ways. Blackened, fried, baked and grilled.
The Guide lost his anchor and line because it wasn’t tied off. I stripped down to nothing and dove for it! I took off my glasses before diving and couldn’t see a darn thing under water. We made a couple of passes but to no avail. If you get this guy by happenstance, he’ll remember me I’m pretty sure.

Btw, if you want to catch fish don’t leave the fish! I think a lot of times these guides will get you enough for dinner and then pull you off the spot to catch a snook or barracuda. If you want to go sightseeing and enjoy the inshore parts of Florida, go for it! We had a great day!

Also, grab a bloody Mary and dare to feed the tarpon on your way there!
