Took a long weekend trip to Islamorada with all the guys I work with. Fished Friday on the Man-O-War & Saturday on the Predator out of Bud and Mary’s. Thanks Marc & Sammy for two great trips! Caught plenty of Dolphin, mostly schoolies and a few gaffers, kept 20 or so for the table. Ended the day on a nice sailfish in about 600ft of water. He put on a great show for all the guys, several of which don’t do any offshore fishing. I just happened to be next to the rod. Awesome fight on a TLD 25. Saturday the weather was terrible early, but we pushed on out with the rest of the fleet. No gaffers found, only schoolies, so we didn’t keep any. Moved on in to 60 feet and proceeded to crush the yellow-tail and af few black grouper.
He’s a sailfish friendly picture for all the stickfish lovers (oops, not upside down).
