Great trip just in time before the next tropical wave
It has been a crazy weather year. Checked the bouy yesterday 9.5 feet at 10 seconds! Fish are biting but I am not sure how much longer this will last and when the dog days of summer will get here.
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
It’s just the way it is. There is first place, then all the rest. We can have a civil discussion about the pros and cons of each. After all, there won’t be many reports for the next few days.
For most of us, we would be thrilled to have any new twin or triple 700 HP + monster to run. We have had this discussion before and now a few of you folks can actually chime in after fishing in both boats in recent weeks.
As I said, I fished both a while ago and to me the answer is clear. I want to run “fast” in relative terms in the most comfortable manner possible. Rarely is it flat calm where you can let em really eat, so super top speed is not that important. The ride at a given speed is what is important to me, then the amount of space to fish the boat when you get there.
Based on my criteria, which is likely similar to most fishing out of the SC coast, there is a clear “winner”.
Keep in mind I’m not asking this on THT where people are from all areas of the US and world, just on this local site under these local conditions.
Brian, you can certainly chime in as well, you were on both boats.

I don’t want to be rich,
I just want 1 dollar more than I can spend!
Courtland has stated he has ridden in both. He is making a deposit on a new boat. He is just stiring the pot.

I don’t need to call or PM anyone, the answer is clear after one ride.
I wish I were making a deposit. I’m patenting, trademarking and copyrighting at the moment. I will go on the record and say that if things go as planned I will be making a deposit on a new boat.
It will catch a lot of tuna hopefully, it just won’t be named after one.
Black Bart, I heard a rumor about you. Need to confrim. You and I may have a opportunity to do some business in the near future.
Brainh, that was one of the quotes fo the day for sure. “Did you bring the gouda cheese?! No, forgot it…” The GOUDA WHAT?! Gouda cheese is not boat food! Beer pickles and chips!
Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!
Dang…
I have to admit, the first part of your message startled me a little bit! Rumors can be worse than the the truth sometimes! I’d love to help you out however I can, just let me know. Will trade business for fishing trips…
