So, if you were to plan a party for 60 to 80 people and wanted to do it downtown, where would you go?

I’m looking at the Rooftop and Cocktail Club right now. This party will be a combination of our friends as well as older family members, so it needs to be somewhat nice/respectable.

This is a surprise, so shhhh.

How about a back yard somewhere? I’ve seen several weddings in these large yards, not sure what the arrangements were but I think it was east of King on Queen St near East Bay… others there too.

Congrats on 10 yrs, Aug 1 will be 22 yrs with mine!

That’s what I’m talking about. There is usually at least one a week out here in the Savannah River swamps somewhere. If smoking a hog is involved, then sometimes they start one night and end late the next.

I’ve lived in the country a long time and still amazed by the neighbors. Most people are living on 30-300 acres of land and the nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, but everybody within 5 miles knows everybody and does anything they can to help each other. People who live close almost never know their next door neighbors. Weird.

I can round up a couple of big smokers on trailers, got some 25 gallon boiling and frying pots, oyster and crab steamers, we can cook for 100 easy. And nobody dials 911 for loud music or gunshots

There ain’t no closing time
There ain’t no cover charge
Just country boys and girls
Getting down on the farm

Now if you want nice and respectable, this isn’t the place. But the offer is real:smiley:

Palmetto’s new tasting room will be completely operational and available by then, but it’s not on a rooftop.

I certainly appreciate this, but we have a place of our own that we do this redneck style too. 50 acres in Smoaks. My wife is, however, classier tha

No worries. I’m doing my beer homework this evening, so there’s a fair chance I won’t remember anything in the morning anyway!

23Sf, you get the PM? think I sent one, but, don’t see any record of it.

I also wanted to say congrats for 10 years of marriage. It ain’t easy. Not many people have staying power anymore and till death do you part seems to mean nothing to most. Mrs. Cracker and I just had our 40th. How she has put up with me for 40 years I don’t know, but I think I’ll keep her  We promised each other and God that we’ll be together till death do us part and we meant it. Hope you make it 40 too.
For our 10th we went to Antigua and stayed at a Sandals resort. For our 40th we stayed home and cooked shrimp on the grill. It’s all good :sunglasses:

You probably just described every man on CF. I know it fits me. And congrats on your 10 year anniversary. Just celebrated 25. It is hard work but I can’t imagine doing it with anyone else.
