Just got in from Guatemala and fishing was somewhat slow, but we had a great time catching 22 of 40 fish raised in four days( really three days as we got blown out on the last day which is very rare there - we ran twelve miles that day in a 28 foot panga in a washboard like sea and fished twenty minutes with no bites before all looking at each other and concluding that this was not what we came there for and ran back to explore on land). Cappie arranged this trip and Im sure that he will elaborate on this topic with photos and possibly video links, but we saw some amazing action there. The sails were impressively active and it is an amazing fishery. However, Perhaps the most amazing thing we witnessed was a very large whale breaching about three miles offshore. Captain Chuck Griffin got an amazing shot of this beast coming out of the water while our boat was about seventy five yards from it , and that creature dwarfs our boat like you would not believe. It scared ****in **** out of me so much that I informed our guide that I had children and did not wish to play what he referred to as russian whale roulette. Hopefully Cappie will post some of these pics so yall can see this and he and Doghouse will elaborate. I would highly recommend a trip to Iztapa.

sounds like a great trip fellas. did the wives go or was it a boyz trip this tear?
The older I get, the better I was.
Johnny no women on this trip. There is not much shopping in Iztapa and very little beach so not much for the girls to do there. We will probably make this an annual one.
