J - Hook or Circle

Ok fold here’s one I am sure everyone will have an opinion on… I was wondering what you prefer to use, either traditional J-hooks or circle hooks. And lets take it further and what do you prefer when your bottom fishing, trolling or using live bait

Kahle hook for cast and retrieve, or cork fishing. Circles for leaving the rod in the holder.
