J14 Car. Skiff w/ 25hp elec st Yamaha...

This little baby needs a good home.

2005 Carolina Skiff J14 with 2006 25HP Yamaha Electric Start tiller handle 2-stroke and galv. trailer. I bought the boat and motor new, Ryan and Wendy now have their own boats, so I don’t use this one and I hate to see it sit.

Skiff has forward casting deck with storage under, rear gunnel to gunnel seat and I’ve installed two aluminum Swivel-Eze pin type seat mounts on rear seat and one on fwd deck. Boat has two molded seats, a 4-gang set of rod holders on left gunnel and a single in rear for bait net, (4) Driftmaster 1/2" threaded, recessed stainless rod holder mounts on gunnels. I wired the boat with switchable nav and anchor lights, switchable and auto bilge and under seat red and green (switchable) LED lights for night vision. I molded in a fiberglass bilge sump and it carries a Rule automatic electronic bilge pump. There’s a 6-gallon portable tank with good primer bulb and an inline fuel filter.

I bottom-painted the boat with black ablative bottom paint to use when I lived on the water, which is now wearing off in places.

This boat has been well maintained, looks great and the Yamaha runs like a top and idles low. All electrical works great and the trailer is wired with LED trailer lights.

I picked up the galvanized trailer on the cheap, but it’s solid. The lights work well and hubs have 2-year old bearings with Bearing Buddies installed. Has good tires and there is a spare tire & rim on the trailer. I replaced the springs when I bought the trailer in 2006 and there is rust, but they’re fine.

Asking $3450 OBO. If you find a better one…buy it.

you ever do any flounder gigging out of it Jim? Just curious how you might set your lights up front…

Team Shad Up & Fish

If you’ve had fun catching fish on the transom bait, you are welcome…

I’ve spent about 85% of my life’s wages on fishing, the rest I just wasted…

I have an in-gunnel rod holder mounted in the front deck Woody. I use it with a Driftmaster T-150 flush mount holder and two 12 volt, 27 watt LEDs to skim the water and a handheld spot for additional search. Lots of light with minimal power drain. I got the 27 Watt LEDs off Amazon for less than $50 for a set of two. Super bright!

I also have a Hydro Glow LED tube lights I sometimes mount under the gunnels in clips…one on the front under the bow and two along the sides under the gunnels. Good general illumination, but still need more light from a spot or flood.
