Ran downsouth this am in a beautiful ocean. Only draw back was the fog but that wasnt too bad. Started fishing out in the deep on the 650 line. Trolled out for most of the morning hoping to find something but never did. Made it out to the 45010 line before picking up and runnig back in to a weed line I had passed up inshore. Well inshore of me anyways it was on the 45060. It wasnt much of a weed line in the am when I passd it but it was pushing offshore and had hit the warm water. The temp break was 4 degrees from 75-71. While I was pulling up I saw probably for dolphin jump. They were the smallest I have ever seen. Probably 8-15 inches long. There were a bunch of those guy son this line. We did catrch 10 dolphin total largest was 26lbs. and the rest were slingers. We also had our first encounter of the year. Had a small Blue marlin come in on the teaser then bite the flat line had him on for a liitle bit and the hook pulled. Too bad he got off but the bite was awesome. The entiore charter got to see him on the teaser and then behind the flat line. His fins were lit up a bright neon blue very cool. Oh well gonna watch the wind blow for a bit now.
