Went out about 15 miles past the 380 hole. Looking for something, anythign but found zero. Had one cut off and that was it. Water temp went from 70-76 over the span of about 3 miles. Pleanty of flying fish, scattered grass and some birds but nothing any higher along in the food chain. Decided to try the day time sword fishing but that too was a big Zilcher. Droppd 2 squids to the bottom in about 2000 feet. Had the bottom bait stolen by a golden or dungenous crab I think and the top bait was unscathed. Pulled the high sped wahoo stuff on the way in but liek the other two trys a big zippa-rooskie there as well. One of the bonuse today was getting to work the SONAr while Carl drove the boat. After about 15-20 minutes of studying the manual and some good ole button pushing I was able to mark, lock on and flush covey after covey of Flying fish. Cant wait to use the autopilot lock feature ona school of tuna. Push a simple series of buttons and the autopilot and SONAR work to gether to follow a school of fish. Oh well tried botom fishing to end the day and to my surprise the fish were actually biting. We caught a mess of Siler snaps, triggers, sharks, and sea bass. We had one shorty scamp and the grand Finallee the "slobberknucker daymaker was a 27 lbs. ARS. WHat a great fish. Trying it agin tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the trolling. Hopefully they will get here any day now. That is one big snapper though. I bet you guys thought it was a donkey all the way up!
rat.
The older I get, the better I was.
There is some warmer water off the Deli.Hopefully when I start in two weeks the temp. and the fish will be up.
Ben,
We may be fishing with you in May - I saw on your website where Amberjack and Bonito are listed as your top species. Do you think it all possible for us to target these species for a half day, and possibly spade fish at an inshore wreck on the way home (given that the jelly balls are plentiful at that time) for the later half of the day?
