Made it back from the Bahamas a couple of weeks ago and thought I would post a few pics of our trip. I woudl suggest San Sal to anyone heading to the Bahamas. The only draw back is the 2 day trip to get there due to connections on the planes not matching up. The locals were the best people of any island I have been to. The fishing is pretty good too. We were there for two months and had some decent fishing in between the back to back cold fronts that kept hitting us. There were plenty of big wahoo, a few dolphin, lots of small tuna, some big tunas, a whitey or two, sails, and blue marlin. It was good mixed bag fishing trip. We caught 4 sails for the trip, saw 3 whites we didnt get and had one blue marlin and shark chase a tuna to the boat. The shark won and got the tuna about 10 feet behind the boat. Was cool to see the blue and shark hot on the tuna that close to the boat. Biggest fosh of the trip were a tuna about 85lbs, wahoo@ 120lbs, and a dolphin in the 45lb range. The wahoo was a stud biggest Ive caught. We caught about 6 in the 70-90 range. I only had a 60 lb boga grip so all my weights came from fileted fish. The big wahoo had 40lb filets and the rack weighed 40lbs as well. When the weather was too bad to fish we played Dominos with the locals. That was a sight to see! It was a good trip. Glad to be home and ready to run some charters. Oh yeah how bout that one picture with that bird in it. Never saw that thing flying around!

8TH picture down, notice the bird above the wahoo…Great timing
Pflueger, hopefully, Jabez won't get too upset about me spilling his secrets, but the yellow canary is a very popular live bait for big wahoos down in San Salvador.
