I have only used this landing once and it was a long time ago. Do any of you know if the boat landing in Jacksonboro on the Edisto River off of Hope Plantation Road safe to leave a vehicle? Also, can you use the landing for night time fishing? If not, are there any other landings available that are safe in the area.
Brad if you are talking about west bank landing, I do know a few years back, you would worry about your car there during the daytime. Things could have changed tho. Ill see if i can find out more info for you!

I went there a couple of weeks ago and I did not have any problems.I remember a few years back that I would camp out down there for the weekend but now they have the area next to the woods blocked off so noone can camp there anymore.
Double D.
used it all my life. its a good ramp, they just screwed up positioning the dock when they redid it this past winter. its hit and miss on the security. if theres people around you’re relatively safe. that being said ive had my windows knocked out at least four times over the years. i take everything of value with me in the boat now. its a beautiful river to ride in though, just be very wary of sandbars at lowtide.

Thanks for the information. I also e-mailed DNR for advise on that landing and was advised the same. Take all valuables out of vehicles at boat landings. Even DNR trucks were broken into.
