I’ve never fished a kayak tournament, but I’m hoping to have a boat ready and time off to fish the Jacksonville Classic. Anybody ever fish much in North Florida? Same sorts of places you would find fish here? I’ll have low expectations, of course, but am curious about how others handle fishing new places.
Same species, same structure. Hardest part is thinking forward in time. May in FL can be like June or July here.
Get down there a day early and go scouting at low tide to look for structure you’d fish here.
