I know that there have been some people wanting to get out and do some freshwater fishing and this is your chance to make your case/speak up. I have been going back and fourth between the forums and Facebook trying to figure out what the majority wants. Personally, I would like to go to an area like Mingo point again. We have talked about Botany Bay now for a while but for some people (I think) this might not be possible becuase they do not allow trailers. (I do not want to exclude anyone) So please give your suggestions so that we may decide a location. I hope everyone had a great holiday.
I think it would be hard for us to find a saltwater spot. Because we would areas to flats to find schools of reds, or places to sheepshead fish. Only place off the top of my mind is mingo point. If anybody as another place let us know! Maybe the ICW again? I’m ready for some freshwater myself though. I absolutely love bass fishing. Maybe the lakes or BP freshwater, or cypress gardens?

One thing to think about, as far as freshwater goes - Lake Marion and Moultrie are down about 3 or 4 ft this time of year…could limit the really good bass fishing places available.
How’s the 'Ville this time of year, Justin?
I’m down for anywhere we go, fresh or salt.
I’m so salt life I get land sick.
Coming up soon yall. Any more opinions??

I talked to a buddy of mine who lives in Cross, and he said the lake is down about three feet…
There is always Lake Robinson, the power plant keeps the water warm and the bass fishing is pretty good.
COPAHEE!!!
Botany Bay, use trucks instead of trailers???
Someone call Phillip Gentry and lets fish a pond!!!

Copahee or Botany Bay sounds good
Tides look good for copahee , low in the morning, high about 2:30 pm, access to deep holes by ICW , plus rising water on mud flats. Could meet around 10 am shoot the breeze till enough water is in the creek to paddle out.
Hitting docks at low has been hot and usually is through January. I’d go Wando, ICW or Folly
Copahee sounds good, I will definitely try to make that. We need to get Ssharda out to slime new 135 Santa brought him.
Copahee sounds good. Hope to see you and your new ride out there, Doug.
If two wrongs don’t make a right, try three.
Sounds like we have an answer. Copahee. We will work out the details and keep everyone updated on the information. Thanks.
currently down with a bad back but hopefully will be able to make it looking forward to it.
I have to check but I might make this one… need to find an assist to load and unload my yak but I might make this one… I need a story to boot

Where is Copahee Bay? How far away is it from Sullivan’s Island? I wanna go but I can’t go if it’s really far away unfortunately.
I’m so salt life I get land sick.
Not far from Sullivan’s at all. Head up 17 North, take a right on Gadsdenville Rd and go a mile or so.
The launch is at the end of Gadsdenville Rd…you’ll drive up Hwy 17 about 5 miles past the IOP connector - look to the right for the sign saying “Copahee Sound Access” - turn right and drive all the way to the end.
