January Hoos

Friday was a win for team PSA. Got a chance to get offshore and the January Wahoo bite was hot. Trolling at speeds up to 17 knots we were able to land about 150 drag screaming pounds of wahoo. Such a beautiful fish and such a great fight. Stop in and pick up some supplies and talk to our eager to help fishing staff before you head out!

Great!! Glad to here that someone when out, what lures/color was ya’ll pulling? I plan on heading out soon as I get a break from work and decent weather.

I can’t lie I haven’t made it to PSA yet but I am going to. I like the involvement y’all show, now if only there was a little more details like depths, rigs, and tactics. I mean this is perfect for product promotion, if you had the lure in store and in the pic. You got to get the gear in the picture, subliminal advertising works great, everybody likes to think they think for them selves. I think that’s a Tiagra right? I’m thinking of getting one soon and I have never seen a shimano add but most big game photos got one so now I want one.

Holy cleat on that boat!!! Solid work on the Wahoo. Any reason PSA won’t carry St Croix fishing rods? At least the one in Mount Pleasant doesn’t.

I re-read this and don’t interpret it wrong, I’m serious. Also if that is a Makiara I’m interested in how they perform if any one knows anything about them. I plan to purchase a 130 in a few months.

Great selection, but have never seen any of your “eager to help fishing staff”…I normally know what I’m looking for, but haven’t been on the water much and could’ve used a recommendation on what they’re biting…anyway, great selection…will keep going by but won’t be expecting much in the customer service department. …the gun side on the other hand, first rate. That’s my experience in each of my ~20 trips to the mt pleasant store anyway

I was thinking the same thing about that cleat…MONSTER!!! What kind of boat is that?

As far as St Croix, I know the reason I was told when the Mt Pleasant store first opened and didn’t carry St Croix (won’t get into that here) but they have St Croix rods in their Summerville store and I was told by the lady that runs their fishing department there that the Mt Pleasant store and their Columbia store will be picking up the St Croix line very soon.

Firefighterj80, the Mount Pleasant location has an order in now for the St. Croix rods and will be here very shortly, however, the Summerville location has them in stock now.

So to give y’all a little more detail about the trip we were fishing flat water in about 200 feet and trolling top water. We were fishing out of a 62’ Viking. The water temp was 70 degrees and we threw everything in this assortment at them. The reels were Shimano Tiagra 80’s and Penn International 50’s. The rods are custom.

The size of your boat doesn’t determine your class.

“In the future, where every stranger poses a potential threat, knowing the predator mindset is the only safe haven.”
That quote comes from the retired SEAL, Clint Emerson…pretty serious man.
Seemed to be a smart-ass remark…my mistake, if it wasn’t meant to be. I like seeing fishermen fish in my area, if I can’t. I don’t know anything about PSA other than being a sponsor for this great web site.

Plenty familiar with the quote and the man. Yes, very intense individual when need be but I assure you even he understands levity and humor. He understands when a hug is needed or when a choke hold is more suitable.

Not sure what knowing anything about PSA has to do with any of this but…

Clear and re-holster, brother.
