January tournament.

I had an awesome time fishing with team"striper redemption"!! New team for me and Tommy and Jamie Richardson made me feel like one of the boys. We hit it off early and think alot alike. Really freaking cold most of the day. Tried something way off track and caught or biggest 3 fish. Thanks go to Lee thomas for “hooking” us up.

Congrats to team Gar-Heart for the win! Ya’ll sure put a big one on the board for big fish of the year…Speaking of board, I hope the tournament directors will get the leader board going again…Its a nice touch for the weigh-ins…

Team Shad Up & Fish

If you’ve had fun catching fish on the transom bait, you are welcome…

I’ve spent about 85% of my life’s wages on fishing, the rest I just wasted…

Thanks to Shawn for letting me and my friend Matt from Charleston fish on his boat for this tourney. I had planned on Matt and I fishing my boat and under my team name “Reel Life” but that Optipop, I mean Optimax, is still at the doctor. Maybe I will get it back one day!

Tough day fishing to be honest…amazing how one bite changes everything.

Congratulations to all the winner’s it was a tough day especially with the new people on my boat that knew nothing about striper fishing but we managed some keepers and several short ones they had a blast

Not sure if Gar-Heart’s crew has a pic or not … but here’s the one RJ took with the big fish … Sure lit a fire under his butt … He wants one … get this … BIGGER than that one … LOL

Good pic Lawcrusher…

Glad we were able to make RJ’s day. I know Shawn’s boys and my 3 year old boy were happy to see it also.

Thanks for posting the picture. I can tell you that my kids really liked checking it out but they quickly moved back into Minecraft mode! I don’t really get the appeal but they absolutely love that game.

We planned on fishing in the river that day even though Marshall told us not to. He said it would probably be a waste of our time. While getting bait that morning, we saw Kreg at David’s and he said the same thing. Fog and Gary came in behind us and said the same thing. Woody said he had been up there and didn’t think it was the place to be either. What finally did it was we saw David Hair at the gas station and he said he wasn’t going up there. I thought, if he’s not going up there we definitely don’t need to be up there. David won a big tournament up there a couple years ago! I thank all of you for helping us decide not to go where we had planned! We had four or five spots picked out and started on one that Big John and I fished three years ago in January where he caught the big fish in the tournament. It was a spot Daniel Sullivan clued us in to back then. He actually fished it a couple weeks after that tournament three years ago with Matt(the guy that caught the 20# Saturday) and caught a nice 15 pounder. We only caught 4 keepers all day so we needed the big one. The other three looked like bait in the Yeti sitting beside big daddy. We just got lucky with the one bite. Congratulations to all the winners. It was a tough day on the water. Hopefully next month will be more kind but I remember that last February was the snow tournament…

^^^^ Guess there’s no chance of anyone “sharing” that spot, huh??? LOL

Ok now I remember Big John won that tx with a 10 lber . We were right across from y’all in __________.

 I’ll give a good report at the next meeting. No waypoint but at least the general area and water depth type stuff.

Yeah, for about 10 years I used to spend about every weekend during the winter fishing around that area.

Then I got introduced to river fishing by Shawn, Big Jon and Woody and dont frequent my old stomping grounds as much as I should.

Glad we ended up there Saturday…
