It started out as a dinky little place on Johns Island a few years back and hasn’t grown much since then, building wise. It’s about time they need it though! Been going there for years and I must say, it’s only gotten better. My pops and I went there for lunch today and man, it was packed! I love their food and all their sauces. $8 for lunch buffet including tea and tax. It’s reelly reelly good “homecooked” soul food. Some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had and their loaded baked potato salad is absolutely amazing too! Mac and Cheese is great and so are the greens. I could go on and on about their stuff but I loaded up there for lunch and it’s about time for a solid nap…

For desert, you HAVE to sample their vanilla puddin with graham cracka crust topped with the chocolate. I always eat about 1/4 of the pan when I get in there.

I highly recommend it.

Agreed. A few of my friends went the other night and decided to weight themselves before and after. One gained 4 lbs!

I went there for the first time on Friday and was very pleased. The fried chicken is extremely tasty. My friend and I talked to the owner a little and were surprised to find out that a lot of the food is certified as health conscious including the pork and most of the vegies. Now the for the sweet potatoes and fried chicken that probably a different story.
