Jeremy at Atlantic

I’ll start by saying I know this isn’t a fishing report. However, I figured it’s the best forum for my message.

This past Sunday, I was headed to Haddrell’s but got rerouted because of the Christmas parade. Instead, I stopped in at Atlantic hoping to find the (inshore) stuff I was looking for.

I was initially disappointed to learn (as most of y’all probably already know) that Atlantic sells only offshore products. I figured I’d look around anyway since I was there. While browsing, I met the infamous Jeremy, whom I’ve heard good things about many times on this site. We struck up a conversation and he gave me a full tour of the store and spent 20-30 minutes with me talking about a variety of fishing-related topics. I found a $10 t-shirt and headed to the checkout counter to pay for my purchase.

As I was leaving, he asked what size shirt I wear. I responded, and he proceeded to give me three additional shirts, a couple of visors and his personal phone number. While this may not a be a big deal to y’all, it definitely resonated with me. I bought a $10 t-shirt and left with a bag full of stuff.

My point is, Jeremy had no obligation to initiate a full-store tour, give me free stuff or provide me with his personal number. I get offshore a few times each year, but I haven’t given his store thousands of dollars of business (yet). For him to treat me as well as he did shows the kind of person he is. I now understand why some of y’all speak so highly about this guy.

Where is Atlantic? Until now I have never heard of it, as I live in Columbia and trailer down to fish offshore.

Cross the big bridge heading north on 17, and take a right at the 3rd light. You’ll run into the store if you don’t see it.

I buy my offshore stuff from Jeremy. He has given me some good ideas on where to go offshore. I cuaght my fisrt white Marlin with his direction. Priceless. Has a real good deal in the spring on re-spooling my rods. Later Len

Atlantic Game and Tackle is up 17 North in Mt. Pleasant right past the Bowling Alley on the right hand side next to Yo Burrto, and Time Out Sports. Also right by the Outback and Zues Greek Restaurants.

While I only make it Offshore a dozen times or less per year, I always get all my offshore stuff cleaned, and rerigged at Atlantic. I also usually pick up most of my tackle for offshore from there as well. While I love the Angler, the selection is quite larger at Atlantic for Offshore items.

Also last year I went to one of the Roff’s Report seminars at Atlantic, and it was pouring rain outside. I showed up, and proceeded to buy a t-shirt to change into, and one of the gentleman hooked me up for free. Not saying you have to give out free stuff to gain business, but they have excellent cusomter service.

He makes a kick a$$ dredge too!

I been trying to tell you people about him since he helped out with the trip to Washington DC. He was one of the ONLY businesses in town to take a sponsorship roll in that trip.

GREAT PEOPLE!! They deserve our business.

They sell hunting stuff too

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

What he said!

By the way…Bobby tied all the knots that helped the above angler with his 82 lb. wahoo last April.

Don’t forget the great line sale in March!!!

Good folks for sure.

Altantic is also the best archery store. They have a range upstairs and are very astute staff.
