I met Jerms from Charlestonfishing.com many years ago and today we are great friends. Jeremy and his wife, Billie Jo, are incredibly gracious and humble people who have a calling in life. That calling is to adopt a child into their family. As many of you know, adopting can be extremely expensive. I personally cannot think of two people more deserving of such an honor. Ok, so this is how this is gonna go. We are currently collecting donations from friends and family world wide. We have already collected custom artwork, fly boxes, rods, reels, flies, guided fishing trips, and guided hunting trips, but we are still collecting any and all donations that you or your friends may be willing to put up.
I will provide a complete list once I have it all worked out, and will continue to update that list so that you will know what we have up for raffle.
After we have collected as many donations as possible we are gonna sell raffle tickets. And all of us are gonna buy them… you’re gonna buy until your wallet starts bleeding. We will leave it open to purchase for a few weeks so that we can sell as many tickets as possible.
We will then host a party here in Charleston, SC. We have a location, but until those details are completely worked out I won’t post it. Once we have ironed out all the details I will post the official location, time, and date of the physical party. What is for sure is that we will have lots of beer… live music, and we will be streaming the entire raffle drawing and party via the web so that those of you who cannot be with us in person can still keep up with the goings on.
Please help our friend Jerms and his wife complete their family by participating in this fundraising drive to offset the high cost of adoption. As a thank you for participating, a number of friends have pitched in a huge pile of gifts. Donating will allow you to participate in the drawings. The prizes will be organized into Groups and a suggested donation will be set for each Group.
To participate, please read all of the instructions and review the trips, then:
Decide how much money you would like to donate
Decide which prize drawings you'd like to be entered in based in your donation amount
visit http://www.youcaring.com/clarkadoptionfund and select GIVE NOW. Enter the amount you wish to donate. At the next window please enter your name or userid, your email, and let us know which Trip(s) and Group(s)you have selected, the total number of entries per Group and the total amount you donated.
HERE'S AN EXAMPLE:
All Charleston Area trips will be drawn from one jar so i'f youre in for one Charleston trip you'll have a shot at all of them
All other trip will be drawn from its own jar, one entry, one jar, one shot at one trip
Goods Group will all be drawn from one jar
Fly & Boxes Group will all be drawn from one jar
We will print out a card with your name and email address for each entry and put each one into its Trip or Group jar for drawing day. Jerms? wife will draw the names on May 29th and we will contact you via email to let you know you?ve won and also publish a list of winners somewhere. If I can get it to work we will also live stream the drawings so you can all watch.
