Does anyone have a strong opinion on the best kind of in-water boatlift for a 22’ bay boat with a 150hp outboard? Jet Dock or Sunstream or similar?
I found that after getting the costs of the permit (and survey, plus time delay in same, and the cost of the lift that I could bottom paint the boat for 4-5 years. JMHO

I have had a jet dock (cubes) for 12 years. My only expense has been to replace the winch once and winch rope 3 times. I originally had a 21’ bay and now with adding 2 rows of cubes have a 24’ bay on it. boat stays out of water, can flush motor, walk around boat to clean and wax. Scissor lifts have moving parts and metal all prone to corrosion and electolysis. Just my two bits. I prefer jet dock to candock which is made in Canada and is lighter guage. Cubes can be refigured to load almost any boat. Look for dock with no moving parts IE rollers etc. No electric or pumps and you got no maintenance.
I have used the Sunstream Lift for over 4 years and we have had minimal problems. They hold large boats and sit in the water 24/7. They do require minimal maintenance, but are very easy to operate. The cost $$$$.
