So I was out in Folly River fishing Sunday morning and some young kids on jet skis call themselves wanting to ride nomore than 30-40 yards in front and to the side of me literally riding over my lines. I tried to be as nice and respectful and tell them to stop riding that close to me and over my lines. So next thing I know the Sheriff boat came out of nowhere and passed me and made a quick stop and turned and cut his blue lights on and followed them to the State Park beach. So hopefully he saw what they were doing and schooled them a little. Have anyone else had these problems???
Good for the sheriff, hope he gives em ell and a ticket for something. Now if LEOs will spend a little effort on the paddle boarders at Shem.

Yes Folly River be loaded with them. They don’t really bother me, but I always slow down and go as far over as I can when I scooting down the river. At least they don’t come in your fishing zone or make big Wakes and throw you around.
I’ve almost killed a jet skier or two at Wapoo accidentally. You get a good line on the trailer in a ripping current and a jet ski just idles in front of you completely oblivious to the world.
Yeah they are dangerous. Up here in the Upstate on our area lakes they are everywhere. Fishing is terrorized by them if they are around…
Santee is like that. Try fishing in the canal on Saturday. Boats will almost get in your lines. Also have a problem pulling planer boards on Lake Greenwood. The pontoons will dang near hit my outside boards. They can have a half mile of water to use to get around but seems like they love to buzz past the boards.
