Jetties 10-25 Sheepshead!

My kids and a few friends set out to find a few sheeps. Got a late start and caught the end of the low tide. The ride out was better than expected. Only fished a few hours with no record breakers but some decent 16"/18" sheepshead and a black drum. We donated most of our fiddlers to the baby BSB and black drum population. My oldest caught the first fish of the day. I figure it is about his age in fish years. Had a great time and hope to get back out there!

Sorry about the gigantic photos. I forgot to set the image size on my phone before I took them. Maybe someone could help me out with resizing images?

nice job on the sheeps. Looks like you had a jetties anchor set up there (brick on a rope)? I assume you put your stern anchor out in the sand so you wouldn’t swing? Did you have to move a few times or did you pick a spot, anchor and let the fish come to you?

Correct on the anchor setup. We move depending on the tide and the “bite”. You dont want to be exposed to the big rollers coming through when you are that close to the rocks.

Yeah Boy! Nice!

I may not be a smart man, but I know what fishing is.
