Went out around 8am (near high tide), hit Dynamite Hole and caught several sharks, including the biggest sharpnose I’ve ever seen (my guess is that it was 40+ inches) and what seemed to be a baby hammerhead (not a bonnethead although it was the size of a larger bonnethead). Caught about 4 or 5 sharks in about 25 minutes and decided i’d had enough of dealing with sharks and moved spots. The Jetties were pretty crowded and probably hit 5 or 6 spots (which were basically just any free spot I could find) and didn’t really catch anything of note. I caught what was probably a keeper BSB (I didn’t want to keep it and just threw it back, but it was a monster for a Jetties BSB) and several toadfish, but nothing else. Used live menhaden and similarly sized baitfish. Tried some inshore spots as well, but it was getting really windy and the tide was ripping pretty fast…all the spots (not that many) that I knew would probably be protected by the wind were taken, so we headed in.
