Jetties Slam

We went to Georgetown on Monday and had a great time. Caught pretty much every species of fish except a trout. Total 14 slot fish. Red Fish, Black Drum, Flounder and Sheeps. Two Small shot weight medium hook. Drop in rocks pull back and frankly just bobbed under the boat. We were in 8ft-10feet of water. We used a brick to hold worked ok, need a cheap rope to cut next time. The new KW1720 was worth every penny. Keep motor running all day and burned 2 gallons of gas for 6 hours. Saw 3 other boats. No wind, just perfect. Little errie on water, moved 4 times. It is tough to get close to the rocks but worth it.

The bite was crazy slow you didn’t even know a fish was on due to the water temp being 55deg. Low tide at 10am incoming all day helped with current. Threw many back and lost some hogs. Lots of fun on light tackle. Started with fiddlers then over to the shrimp we caught in September, smaller shrimp worked better to stay on hook. Bring tons of hooks and weights. Half pound of shrimp produced 20 lbs of fish.

I clean the fish and in the stomachs of the reds a good amount of glass minnows. In the sheeps barnacles, sea anemone and many small dark fiddlers. The drum looked skinny to me and their stomachs weren?t as full as the sheeps.

Does any one know about the new Ferry Bridge? Will they keep this landing open and do the fish stay at the jetties all year? Thanks in advance!

Does any one know about the new Ferry Bridge? Will they keep this landing open. Should be open year around.
