The day started off rough as the front from last night was finishing up then cleared off around 8 with a light southern wind. Found lots of big mullet and headed out to the jetties. Water was not very clean. Lots of shrimp boats out mixing up the water. Caught several large sharks in the 5 to 7ft range. Ended the day finding a large school of spanish and bluefish killing the glass minnows. Every cast we had one. The spanish were all very good size. Great day on the water
Sounds like fun. I have fed an awful lot of bluefish but have never actually caught one. My son would go nuts if he hooked a shark that big.
I go out all the time and catch them that big. Today we caught a 5 footer on 6lb test it was a fun fight
