I have not fished at Jeykll Isl., but when I was a kid, many years ago, my we used to fish out of Taylor’s fish camp on the north end of St. Simon’s. We caught fish like you wouldn’t believe… reds, flounder, trout, trips, sharks and the usual trash as well. I suggest that you find out if Taylors is still in business and contact them. They had rental boats and live bait on site as well as a ramp to launch your boat.
The Golden Isles of Ga. are a gem. I wish that SC had protected our barrier islands well as Ga. did.
