Buddy of mine is coming down for the Cooper River Bridge run and has access to a 2-man kayak. They are staying on Folly. He wants to get out for a 1/2 day and look for some reds and trout. Good fisherman and has basic knowledge of how to catch them.
Any suggestions on good drop in? Since its a weekend i thought it may be best not to be in the most openly traveled waterways but I have no experience with that. Just did not want him to get swamped by some 30’ snowbird!
Also, is the best practice to time it so you are going with the tide or in slack tides to and from?
Looks like early afternoon low. I recommended he could look for reds around the low and then the trout later in the day once the water hit the grass good.
